It’s been said that, sometimes, if you turn your head just right, and tilt it at just the right angle, your ear will be right in front of a hole between this world and the next, and you can hear the voices from a world away. And sometimes, if you listen hard enough,  you can hear them calling out to you, begging you to come for them, to save them from the monsters. And, if you strain your entire being to hear the faintest of them, you will hear the ones who are begging to be saved from themselves.
